The BC team brought the Swiss Alps into the heart of the City for a two-day extravaganza at Broadgate in 2009 in the run up to the ski season where "there's snow place like Switzerland". The star attraction was a 5m x 20m long dry ski slope built adjacent to Liverpool Street Station and surrounded by a purpose built Swiss chalet-style village. Participants included Switzerland Tourism, Swiss International Airlines, Swiss Deluxe Hotels, Jungfrau Railways and several Swiss regional tourism offices. Visitors tested their nerves snow tubing and watched the pros show off their skiing and snowboarding stunts while feasting on fondue, raclette and other Swiss après-ski treats.
